Photo Book Kit

Photo Book Kit is a method for turning a vacation's worth of photos into a printed book, with an AI assistant doing the heavy lifting and you making the calls that matter. It is not an app. It is a handful of plain text files you give to whatever AI you already use: Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini.

It was learned the hard way, across three family trip books. The pages below are from the first one, our Adriatic trip in August 2026 (names taken off the web copy). The camera knows when and where a photo was taken. It does not know who was there, what happened on the days nobody took a picture, which photos matter, or what the restaurant was called. So the kit has the AI interview you first. Then it drafts the book, and you mark it up, page by page, until it is yours.

What is inside:

• Start here: three steps and the one sentence to give your AI.
• The interview: the questions to ask, and why each one matters.
• A taste profile: your style rules, written down once and reused for every book. How many photos, what it ends on, how it should sound.
• A printer profile: the numbers your printer needs, with one worked example. Change printer or format and only this page changes.
• Versions and review: how to know exactly which file went to the printer.
• Lessons learned: everything that went wrong on our books, so it does not go wrong on yours.
